Robert H. Falkenstein
Bob is a graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in History and the University of San Diego School of Law. He started his law career at the Cowlitz County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he tried criminal cases for approximately three years. Thereafter, Bob went into private practice and in 1995, established his own law firm as a sole practitioner emphasizing family law. Effective January 1, 2012, Chad Zandi joined Bob as a partner in the law firm, now known as Falkenstein Zandi, PLLC.
During Bob’s long career as an attorney, he has had a strong emphasis in family law and has provided skilled representation in all matters of family law and every type of factual pattern. His vast experience includes divorce, custody/parenting plans, support, third party custody, paternity, adoption, and all other types of family law matters. Bob’s years of experience provide his clients with a thorough knowledge of the law and also a common sense approach to achieving just results.
Bob is an AV rated attorney by his peers, the highest rated legal and ethical peer attorney rating. He is the past president of the Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Bar Association in addition to his continuing involvement in providing legal advice for the Cowlitz/Wahkiakum Legal Aid Clinic. Bob has been a long term member of the Board of Directors for the Cowlitz County United Way. He is married to Diane, who is a local certified public accountant. Bob and Diane have three adult children and several grandchildren.
Chad R. Zandi
Chad grew up in Cowlitz County. After graduating from Kelso High School, Chad obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Washington State University. Chad later attended the University of Tulsa where he earned his law degree. After completing law school, he returned home to begin his practice.
Chad has devoted the majority of his legal practice to helping clients overcome the stress and difficulties most often experienced in family law matters. His background and education have made him adept at assisting clients overcome obstacles in a variety of domestic relations cases. Chad’s personality make clients feel extremely comfortable working with him on a variety of family law issues, including complex financial matters and contentious parenting plan disputes. Chad’s court presence is also admirable, as he advocates for his clients in a convincing and persuasive manner. Chad places a premium on reaching positive outcomes for all of his clients.
Candace J. Sanders – Paralegal
Candy Sanders serves as Robert Falkenstein’s primary paralegal. She works with the client throughout the case and in gathering information and assisting in the preparation for settlement conferences and trials.
Candy has been working in the legal field since 1975 and has worked in both the public and private sectors. She is certified in general paralegal studies, as well as trial practice/ litigation and as a mediator. Candy serves on the board and as a volunteer mediator for the Community Mediation Center in Lewis County, and is also involved in her local church. Candy and her husband have two adult children.
Tammy Collier – Legal Assistant
Tammy Collier is the primary Legal Assistant for Chad Zandi. Tammy has worked in the legal field for approximately 11 years. Tammy’s responsibilities include preparing legal pleadings and correspondence, gathering information, and assisting the clients with the day to day issues of their case.
Tammy and her husband have two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, riding bike, gardening and cooking.
